Arts, Bubbles & Brunch Date: Sun, Sept. 15, 2019 Time: 10:30a - 3p Location: The Whitney, 4421 Woodward Ave, Detroit Cost: $79 What better way to end the weekend and start the new week than with art tours, brunch and mimosas? Arts, Bubbles & Brunch features a tour of "Murals in the Market" at Detroit's Eastern Market, a two-course brunch, mimosas, and a dessert buffet! Did I mention there's also a guided tour of The Whitney? The cost of attendance might seem a bit pricey at first, but when you consider the fact that transportation and food is included, it sounds like a pretty solid slide to me.
Say Cheese Fest Date: Sun, Sept. 15, 2019 Time: 2p - 6p Location: Galleri 2987, 2987 Franklin St, Detroit Cost: $30-$50 Man, I LOVE CHEESE. I'm even writing this post while eating a piece of cheese. I'm already jealous.

Jazz at Beacon Park Date: Fri, Sept. 20, 2019 Time: 7p-9p Location: Beacon Park, 1901 Grand River Ave, Detroit Cost: FREE The only thing I love more than cheese this week is jazz music. Bee-bop, swing, blues, you name it. The finale concert of Jazz at Beacon Park will feature the Detroit Jazz Festival Alumni Band. If you know about this event and you're not sliding to this one, don't call yourself a fan of jazz or live music. Sorry not sorry!
Live, Lit, Laughter Comedy Jam Date: Sat, Sept. 21, 2019 Time: 8p Location: Fox Theater, 2211 Woodward Ave, Detroit Cost: $59-$105 (subject to change) Lil Duval? Michael Blackson? Tony Roberts? Karlous Miller? Benji Brown? Hosted by Rickey Smiley?! Man, oh man. 'Nuff said. I'm sliding.

Slide smarter, not harder, right? This is the only event on my list that actually isn't in Detroit proper. Personally, I've never been to Boogie Fever, but who doesn't love a good 80s vs. 90s party? Exactly. Let's slide.
Detroit China Festival Date: Sat, Sept. 21, 2019 Time: 11a-5p Location: Hart Plaza, 1 Hart Plaza, Detroit Cost: $10-$100 Great opportunity to learn more about a culture different than your own and have fun doing it! It might change your life.
UniverSOUL Circus Date: Sept 15 - Sept 29, 2019 Time: Varies Location: The Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre, 2600 Atwater St, Detroit Cost: $40-$120 (subject to change) This one hits home.
